Chartwell Wooden Windows Ltd

Profile

Welcome

Welcome to Wooden Windows Sussex. Based in West Sussex, we provide a friendly and efficient service that thrives on attention to detail and tidiness. The value we provide is second to none.

Our Employees are diligent and adept. The same team carries out the manufacturing, painting and installation process for each individual job. This ensures the highest possible quality of the delivered product. We do not sub-contract labour, which ensures that all of our men are our direct employees.

Our Timber

All wooden components are created from either European Redwood to BS EN 942, BS 1186 Part 2 or West African Sapele (also known as aboudikro, a member of the mahogany family) obtained from sustainable sources.

Our Philosophy

We believe that by creating and installing wooden windows and doors, we preserve the traditional appearance of our clients' properties while saving energy by the integration of double glazing.

Furthermore, demand for lumber encourages the planting of new forests, which not only beautify the landscape, but emit oxygen as a natural course essential process for the survival of living beings on our planet. Forests also conserve the soil and provide a natural habitat for wildlife and much needed jobs for the local population in many countries.

The Environment

The timber that we use for our windows is produced from Scandinavian Redwood (vacuum treated Scandinavian pine) and West African Sapele hardwood. Both types of wood are obtained from managed forests.

The carbon footprint, energy wasted and level of pollution is significantly smaller when producing a wooden window from a sustainable, managed forest than a standard UPVC window.
